We have just arrived at our hotel, The Golden Blue Hotel Express, at 1:30 am after traveling since 4 am Friday, March 13. We all arrived at Hartsfield Airport in Atlanta, GA at 4:00 am and our first flight left Atlanta at 6 am. Our team arrived in Miami at 7:45 am and then had a layover until around 10:30 am. The Miami Airport was quite nice with tall ceilings inlaid in wood and various quotes in the floor that could be read as each weary traveler walked to their destination. Some of us proceeded to lay on the floor in our terminal to catch a few moments of much needed sleep, get coffee from the local Starbucks, play various card games or call people before we left the country. Around 10:30 we were called to board our home in the sky for the next 8 hours. Our flight left around 11:00 am, and the next few hours consisted of various movies, sleeping, tv shows, walking around the plane, sleeping, turbulence, and more sleeping. Landed in São Paulo around 8 pm, tried Brazilian food, and "quickly" got on our next flight [and by quickly i mean an hour late]. We arrived in Londrina at midnight thirty, and we met the locals from the church, capela da graça. And now we're sitting in the hallway of our hotel, in the funk, half awake. BUT, tomorrow morning, after a nice long rest, and a jog for few, we will have the energy to conquer the day!
